Starkin works with some personal things: your birth details and the people in your life. This page says plainly what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and how to remove it.
Starkin: Astrology & Friends ("Starkin", "we") is an Android app. For anything about your data, write to support@getstarkin.com.
An account is created without a name or password when you first open the app. If you choose to add an email address (to sign in on another phone), we store it to send you sign-in links.
Your birth date, and optionally your birth time and place; the name you want to be called and pronouns; your time zone, language, interests you pick during setup, and notification preferences. From these we compute your birth chart.
The names, relationship and birth details of people you add to compare charts. Only add someone if you are comfortable sharing these details with us; they are visible only to you.
When someone accepts your invite, you both see each other's name and chart placements (signs and houses), never each other's exact birth date, time or place. Members of a Circle see each other's names, roles and how they match.
Daily check-ins, readings and reports you open, questions you ask and their answers, purchases you make, and simple usage events (for example "opened a reading" or "shared a card"). These are stored in our own database; we use no third-party analytics service.
A push notification token, so we can send the notifications you have turned on.
Google Play handles payment. We receive and store the purchase token, product and status to unlock what you bought. We never see your card or bank details.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your profile, birth details, charts, people you added, connections, Circles you own, readings, questions and usage data straight away. Google Play keeps its own purchase records.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or US state privacy laws) you may have further rights, such as objecting to processing or complaining to a data protection authority. Write to us and we will answer within 30 days.
Data travels over encrypted connections. Each account can only read its own records; access between connected people is limited to what is described above. Server keys never leave our servers.
Starkin is not meant for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has an account, write to us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
